American International Group Inc. [18540] said it has dropped its plan to sell its two life insurance units, AIG Star Life Insurance Co. Ltd. [85459] and AIG Edison Life Insurance Co. Ltd. [86621], in Japan.
The two life insurance units will continue to bring substantial value to the company as a source of business revenue, according to AIG Japan.
