New 4-Hour California Annuity Training Course Now Available Through WebCE; New Course Fulfills the Renewal Requirement for All Insurance Agents Selling Annuities in California

These courses fulfill the newly mandated training requirement for any licensed insurance agent who sells annuities in California.

About the New California Annuities CE Requirement
Effective immediately, all life insurance agents who completed their initial 8 hours of state-approved annuity training are now also required to complete an additional 4 hours of state-approved annuity training every license term. On May 14, 2004, the California Department of Insurance released its course specifications and training requirements for a California Annuity Training Curriculum. These requirements were updated on January 15, 2006. California's approved continuing education providers that intend to offer the CA Annuity Courses must successfully address a series of annuities topics that meet the requirements of SB 620 (Scott, Chapter 547, Statutes of 2003). These topics include annuities, life insurance, required disclosures, and prohibited sales practices.
