Irving, TX - November 5, 2009 –  Richard E. Asprey, president and CEO of Aggressive Insurance, LLC, was named Insurance Eagle of the year for 2009 at the annual meeting of the Georgia Insurance Agents Alliance (GIAA) for  his efforts to bring exciting new products and more efficient technologies to the insurance industry.

To recognize the event, Georgia State Senator Ralph Hudgens presented Asprey with a flag, which had been flown over the U.S. Capitol at the request of U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson.  Senator Hudgens  is a key figure on state and national insurance legislative committees and is currently a leading candidate for the post of Georgia Insurance Commissioner.

Richard Asprey, 48, a native of London, England, is a veteran of the reinsurance and insurance business in the U.S., Bermuda and the U.K.  Having joined the business at the age of 16, he moved to the U.S from Bermuda in 2000 and has been engaged in several major U.S. insurance projects. His Texas company, Aggressive Insurance, provides insurance for hard-to-place automobile clients and has recently launched an aviation insurance program that tremendously advances technology in that field.  The firm has more than 50 employees and offers products through over 1000 independent agency outlets around the country.

“Having the flag of the country that my family and I have always loved presented to me was such an honor and surprise that I could barely believe it,” Asprey commented.“I am grateful for the opportunity to work in this wonderful country and hope that whatever I do will make our business and our communities just a bit better for all.”
