Do you have a long list of insurance leads that are not yet ready to buy? If so, you should not throw these leads in the trash. Instead, you need to realize that they may turn to you in the future when they are ready to make a purchase. But if you are a stranger you will not have a very good chance of earning their business. When it comes down to it, you need to keep your name and information in front of these leads on a regular basis. This will give you the upper hand when the consumer is finally ready to move forward.
Tell every insurance lead that you are going to stay in touch. This way you do not have to feel bad about calling them once per week on average. Remember, if a consumer gets annoyed with you calling they will tell you. And this is nothing to get upset about. If you are told to quit calling you can then throw the lead in the garbage and move onto buyers who are more excited about what you have to offer.
Just because you are staying in touch with insurance leads does not mean that you should bug them. When you check in remind the consumer who you are, and then guide the conversation the way you want it to go. Some may have questions for you, and others may tell you that they are still not ready to buy. Either way, you should make progress with each follow-up call that you make.
All in all, there is no reason to be a stranger. If you want to become a successful insurance agent you need to be willing to follow-up and stay in touch with leads on a regular basis.
For a limited time, InsuranceLeads.com is offering $200 worth of free leads to agents who setup and activate an account.
