Nov. 26--The Odessa City Council will say hello to its newly elected officials during their meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.
Judge Mark Owens will administer the Oath of Office to incoming officials Mayor David Turner, District 1 Councilman Roger McNeil and District 2 Councilman Dewey Bryant.
Turner, McNeil and Bryant will take over for Mayor Larry Melton, District 1 Councilman Bill Cleaver and District 2 Councilman James Goates, respectively.
Melton is Odessa's longest-serving mayor, serving 11 years. Cleaver and Goates are the longest serving councilmen, each serving the council for 14 years.
The council will also consider:
--The request of Wyly and Fredna Brown Family Partnership and RSP Permian for original zoning of "future development-drill reservation: on approximately 3.8 acres and original zoning of "future development-drill reservation" on approximately 15.31 acres northeast and northwest of the intersection of Castlegate Lane and Castle Oaks Lane in a second and final consideration.
--The request of Sharon Miller and Ascension Juniper Project Faudree for original zoning of "multi-family-two" on approximately 1.3 acres and the request of TMN Investments and Ascension Juniper Project Faudree to rezone from "light commercial" to "multi-family-two" on the southwest corner of the intersection of Faudree Road and Old Bankhead Highway in a second and final consideration.
--Renewal of Stop Loss Insurance with Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York based on the supporting document renewal.
--Renewal of Excess Workers' Compensation insurance with Safety National Casualty Corporation.
--Renewal of Public Entity Liability insurance with States Risk Retention Group.
--Renewal of contract for property insurance with TML Intergovernmental Risk Pool.
--Providing only one City Council meeting for the month of December.
--The monthly financial summary report for September.

--An agreement with Standard Sales Company.
