Hear Actual Adults Talk About The Election!
Two words are guaranteed to make most Americans shake their head in despondent bafflement: presidential election.
Indeed, I am well aware of that and I am not throwing out those words indiscriminately. I am here to say we can help.
No, we can’t say it’s all a bad dream. We can’t make it go away. But we can do something else that might be a refreshing change. We can talk like adults about it.
That’s right. We at InsuranceNewsNet will be hosting a webinar featuring people on the opposite sides of the aisle and we will not even come close to having one accusing the other of precipitating the end times.
Senior Editor John Hilton featured a civil discussion about the race in the October edition of InsuranceNewsNet Magazine. We will be having one of the people in the article in a webinar on Oct. 24 facing off against another Washington insider.
We will be talking about issues important to your business, such as taxes, regulation, ACA and whatever else you would like to speak about.
Sign up and ask your question. Show up at noon on Monday, Oct. 24, and enjoy adults talking about the presidential election like it was not just a reality show.
Here are the guests:
Dan Meyer is president of the Duberstein Group, an independent, strategic planning and advisory company located in Washington, D.C. During the last two years of the George W. Bush administration, Meyer served in the White House as an assistant and deputy assistant to the president for legislative affairs. In his book, Decision Points, Bush described Meyer as his “cool-headed legislative affairs chief.”
Meyer organized and ran Rep. Newt Gingrich’s office after Gingrich became House Republican Whip in March 1989. Meyer as chief of staff helped lead the House’s transition to a Republican majority for the first time in 40 years when Gingrich became speaker.
Michael Lewan is a longtime Democratic strategist who once served as chief of staff to Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn. Before that, he served the same role for Rep. Stephen Solarz, D-N.Y.
Lewan has also managed several successful political campaigns, and remains active with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Come and enjoy the sanity!
