The neighborhood around the storefront has a strong Latino presence, a demographic that represents an important customer base for the company, he said.

Some customers think that a business will better understand them if they walk into a store where they can talk with someone, he said.
"Some community members put a lot of stock in a handshake and being able to look somebody in the eye," he said.
Not all customers who rely on state-minimum coverage have a bank account, so storefronts give people the option to make cash transactions, he said.
"They're giving the customer every possible recourse to make the payment and close on a deal," he said.
