Specifically, Jones wants to reverse the court’s decision limiting the scope of a requirement that insurers send consumer a notice of their right to a review by the commissioner’s office when health coverage is being terminated. Also, Jones wants to reverse the court’s ruling that insurers could meet the requirement of providing consumers a grace period before terminating coverage for nonpayment of premiums by adjusting their billing cycles. Jones’ statement said the ruling essentially allows companies to include days for which they already had received payment as part of the grace period.
