Benicia Fire Department receives grant for rescue boat

The grant will be used to acquire an inflatable boat, which is about 15 feet long, motor powered and can hold up to 10 people. It will also fund some equipment for the safety of the personnel operating the boat.

"It's great demonstration of collaboration to come up with a solution under tight budgetary condition," Patterson said.
