Former EverGreen RV employees’ personal info at risk after theft of Gibson Insurance computer

A police investigation into the laptop theft has been opened and Gibson is taking steps to make sure affected EverGreen employees are notified. Gibson mailed letters on Friday to people likely affected by the data breach with information about the incident and steps they should take to protect their personal information, the press release says.

"Kroll is a global leader in risk mitigation and response, and their team has extensive experience helping people who have sustained an unintentional exposure of confidential data," the press release says.
Gibson also has established a toll-free hotline at 1-866-599-7386 to answer questions and discuss concerns about the incident. The call center will be staffed from
The press release says Gibson is instituting new electronic safeguards, reviewing company guidelines for storing personal information securely and training employees on data security as a result of the incident.
"The privacy and protection of personal information is a top priority for Gibson, which deeply regrets any inconvenience or concern this incident may cause," the press release says.
