Jefferson National And Orion Advisor Services Announce Partnership

November 10, 2016, Louisville, KY and Omaha, NE – For the first time, Orion clients using Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor, the industry’s first1 and only Flat-Fee2 Investment-Only Variable Annuity (IOVA) with more than 350 underlying funds, can now trade directly on the Orion platform, seamlessly and conveniently with their other custodial accounts. Jefferson National, a leading distributor of innovative tax-advantaged investing solutions for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), fee-based advisors and the clients they serve, now offers a seamless data interface and trading capabilities with Orion Advisor Services, LLC (“Orion”), a premier portfolio accounting service provider for advisors.

“This seamless data interface for managing Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor directly on the Orion platform allows RIAs and fee-based advisors to manage taxable and tax-deferred accounts side by side to optimize tax-advantaged returns, helping their clients increase returns without increasing risk, to accumulate more ,” said Laurence Greenberg, President of Jefferson National. “Likewise, by creating this one-stop integrated solution,  we help advisors provide more timely transactions, more transparency and more accurate reporting, so they can better serve their clients and build stronger relationships.”

“Like Orion, Jefferson National is dedicated to serving independent RIAs and fee-based advisors with innovation and quality. This new integration is a defining example of our mutual commitment to enhance the user experience, and create greater value for our advisors and the clients they serve,” said Eric Clarke, Founder and CEO of Orion. “Jefferson National is unique in its mission, and we are excited to team up with them to bring wholly integrated tax-advantage investing to the Orion platform.”

This new technology enhancement allows RIAs and fee-based advisors to provide more holistic advice for their clients, by aggregating, managing and trading tax-deferred assets alongside taxable vehicles within a single advisor workstation. With the Orion platform integration, advisors have more options while trading, such as setting standard deviations or “floats.” Orion generates a trade file for direct upload to accounts at Jefferson National, eliminating the need to use a separate third-party feed or aggregator for advisors to access the highest quality data. Jefferson National continues to build data and trading connections to move IOVAs beyond 'held away' assets and instead, make them part of an advisors' everyday portfolio.
