North American Training Group to Assist India with Anti-Fraud Training
MUMBAI, India – May 27, 2015 - North American Training Group, Inc. (NATG) the leading global provider of Insurance Fraud and Investigative Training announces its partnership with the Insurance Institute of India (III) a leading education and training provider closely associated with all segments of the insurance industry including the Insurance Regulatory Authority of India (IRDA) and public and private sector insurance companies.
Last week, NATG’s President and CEO Mr. Frederick Wharton visited the Institute’s headquarters in Mumbai to officially sign the partnership agreement. NATG will be developing the country’s first professional insurance fraud designation/certification program called the Certified Insurance Anti-Fraud Professional (CIAFP) as well as individual training courses to insurance professionals throughout India and Middle Eastern countries. During Mr. Wharton’s visit, he was also a guest speaker at the III’s seminar on Synergizing Insurance and Information and Communication Technology Industries in Bangalore.
Mr. Wharton stated, “Our partnership has been in the works for the past several years.” He explained that, “The IRDA had been proposing guidelines for insurance fraud for many years.” In January 2013 the IRDA published regulations requiring insurance companies to establish and maintain Insurance Fraud Monitoring Guidelines. “All of those years preparing, assisting and educating the executives and directors of the III with our fraud knowledge and experience paid off. We look forward to working with the III as they enter an entirely new phase of education for a country that is experiencing large amounts of insurance fraud.”
