LEGAL & GENERAL AMERICA CERTIFIED AS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK.
Urbana, MD, August 4, 2016 – Legal & General America (LGA) is pleased to announce that we are now certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®. LGA earned this credential based on anonymous survey responses from nearly 300 employees.
Competing against other companies across the country, LGA participated in a selection process that included an anonymous employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about our benefits, perks and culture. We are pleased to report that close to 80% of our employees ranked LGA as a great workplace overall, and over 90% said they take great pride in their work and feel good about the company's contributions to the community.
Our employees' passion, dedication, innovation, and hard work, as well as our charity campaigns, wellness programs, and career development opportunities contribute to creating our great workplace culture.
Barbara Esau, Vice President, Human Resources, said, “We are thrilled that Legal & General America is now certified as a Great Place to Work. We consider this honor especially meaningful because it is based on the views of our employees. The Great Place to Work certification demonstrates our focus on employee engagement, collaboration, and the important work of our employees as we provide American families with protection products to secure their financial future. I am proud of our collective accomplishments and excited that we have received this recognition.”
Kim Peters, Vice President of Great Place to Work's Recognition Program, said, "We applaud Legal & General America for seeking certification and releasing its employees' feedback. These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees' trust and create a great workplace - critical metrics that anyone considering working for or doing business with Legal & General America should take into account as an indicator of high performance."
