Maziarz probe heats up as more grand jury subpoenas served

A spokesman for the medical center said the health care facility itself is not a target of the grand jury investigations.
"There's no connection with the hospital whatsoever with (the Maziarz probe)," he said.
Bradley also noted that Jacobs' involvement with Maziarz takes place during her "off time" and not while she is working in her capacity as a hospital executive.
"My understanding of that is anything Laureen does outside the hospital is done on a volunteer basis on her time," he said.
In addition to the Jacob's subpoena, the Gazette has also learned that two top former Maziarz staffers have received subpoenas from Bharara's office.
Chief of Staff Alisa Colatarci and Office Manager
Colatarci has also hired a former federal prosecutor to represent her.
French said Monday that Colatarci received a subpoena regarding Maziarz and his campaign committee from the office of Bharara.
"Alisa is not the target of the investigation and has cooperated fully," French said.
Bharara's office has been conducting ongoing investigations in the aftermath of the dismantling of the
City and
State law restricts what campaign contributions can be spent on.
Sources with knowledge of the probe say they believe Bharara's investigators and now, local agents from the
