Kids with cancer are the reason for it all. There is currently a broad range of research being conducted to better understand the causes, biology, and patterns of childhood cancers and to identify the best ways to successfully treat children with cancer, but there is still a long way to go.
Even when long-term survival is achieved, many survivors of childhood cancer may experience long-term adverse effects from the disease or its treatment. Clearly, more research is needed to develop new, more-effective, and safer treatments for childhood cancer.
